A New Musical
A Story of Myth and Memory
Joe's Pub · The Public Theater · April 23, 2026
The Story
Madame Infamy is a theatrical collision of myth and memory — revealing the histories we preserve, the ones we overlook, and the ones we distort.
"Through soaring music and interwoven journeys, we watch Sally Hemings and Marie Antoinette navigate the constraints of power, gender, race, and the narratives imposed upon them."
Told through the eyes of the famed wax sculptor Madame Tussaud, the show reveals how history itself is shaped — molded by those who decide who is immortalized, who is distorted, and who is silenced altogether. Their epic story unfolds across continents and revolutions, set against a score rooted in pop, rock, and R&B.
Conceived and Book by Joseph Vigliotti
